Directions to the Viscount Gort Hotel
From Winnipeg Richardson International Airport (YWG)
By Car/Taxi/Rideshare: The hotel is about a 10-minute drive from the airport. Head east on Wellington Avenue, take Century Street south, and you’ll find the hotel at 1670 Portage Avenue.
By Public Transit: Winnipeg Transit Route 15 runs from the airport area toward Portage Avenue. Exit at St. James Street, and the hotel is a short walk away.
By Car (if arriving from outside Winnipeg)
From the West (Highway 1): Enter Winnipeg on Portage Avenue heading east. The hotel is on Portage between Century Street and St. James Street.
From the East (Highway 1): Follow the Perimeter Highway north, then take Portage Avenue heading west into the city. Continue to St. James Street; the hotel is on your right.
From the South (Highway 75): Enter Winnipeg on Pembina Highway. Follow Pembina north until it becomes Osborne Street. Continue to Broadway, then turn left onto Maryland Street, which becomes Route 90. Follow Route 90 north to Portage Avenue, turn left, and the hotel will be on your left.
By Bus (from Downtown Winnipeg)
Winnipeg Transit Routes 11, 21, 22, 24, and 67 all travel along Portage Avenue. Exit at St. James Street; the hotel is just steps away.
